Ready to apply?
- Applications for the 2027 Fall Grant Cycle open September 7, 2026.
- Submit your application by 5 p.m. on October 2, 2026, including required Faculty Mentor approval. Review important dates and deadlines.
Application Requirements
Before you apply, make sure you have the following:
Faculty Mentor
- All projects must have a faculty mentor.
- Your faculty mentor's information must be included on the application.
Online Application Form
- Submit the online application using your MavMAIL email account.
- The primary student researcher must complete and submit the application.
- Be prepared to provide:
- Student contact information
- Faculty mentor information
- Department information
- Names and Tech IDs of all research team members (if applicable)
Important: The online application cannot be saved and completed later. Have all required information and your finalized proposal ready before you begin.
Grant Proposal
- Upload your completed grant proposal as a PDF file.

Foundation Grant Applicants Only
If you are applying for a Foundation Grant, you must also submit a project video:
- Maximum length: 2 minutes
- Upload your video to YouTube, MavMedia (MediaSpace), or another online platform.
- Include the video link in the application portal.
- Make sure the link is accessible to anyone reviewing your application.

Reminders
- Please review the Grant Requirements so that you have all required information available before you start the submission process.
- After your submission, remind your faculty mentor to check their email for directions on providing mentor approval. This will come from a NoReply email and may be sent to their junkmail.
