Fall 2024 Grant Cycle

The 2024 annual Fall Grant Cycle provides funding to undergraduate students with research, scholarly, or creative projects. Foundation Grants of up to $2000 and URC Grants of up to $750 are available.

Applications deadline (with faculty mentor approval): October 9th by 5:00 PM

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

NCUR is a national conference dedicated to the promotion and celebration of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities. Undergraduate students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply. NCUR 2025 will be held in Pittsburge, Pennsylvania.

NCUR Application Portal Opens: September 10th, 2024

NCUR Abstract Submission Deadline: December 6th, 2024

NCUR 2025: April 7th-9th, 2025

2025 Undergraduate Research Symposium

The Undergraduate Research Symposium is held annually at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The event features poster and oral presentations from undergraduate students, as well as creative exhibitions and a keynote speaker. Students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to present their research, scholarly, and creative activities.

Intent to Present Deadline: March 21st, 2025

Spring 2025 URS Date: April 24th, 2025

Students from colleges and universities within the MinnState system gather at the Minnesota State Capitol to present their work and promote the importance of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities to state represenatives and legislators.
