Learning from Lit Reviews: A Grad Student Symposium

Friday, November 7, 11am-12:30pm Via Zoom

Have you recently worked on a literature review—say, for your capstone project or for a class assignment? Are you working on one now? It’s easy to see literature reviews as nothing more than context for a larger research project, but as you likely know, conducting a literature review is a learning experience in itself! For this upcoming event, CESR invites all current graduate students to share what you have learned from closely reading and reflecting on focused bodies of research or writing.

All graduate student presenters will have 5 minutes to share their experiences and insights. Rather than presenting a full literature review, presenters will prepare brief responses to the following questions/prompts:

  • What is the context for your literature review?
  • What literature(s) did you review?
  • What do you see as some important 'takeaways'
  • What strategies, tools, or resources helped you?

Sign up to participate by October 3! To access the sign-up, visit link.mnsu.edu/litreviews.
