Programs
CESR offers a full slate of programs each semester, including skills- and tools-based workshops and presentations showcasing the innovative scholarly work taking place across the University. All CESR programs are open to the entire campus community – faculty, staff, and students, including undergraduate and graduate students.
Workshops do require registering in advance, and most are held remotely, via Zoom. ‘Regular’ CESR workshops are designed and facilitated by CESR staff, and these are often designed with beginning researchers in mind. Some CESR workshops are led by Minnesota State University, Mankato faculty who have skills or experience with the workshop topic. If you have a topic in mind for a CESR workshop – one you or someone else could facilitate – feel free to reach out to the CESR Interim Director, Dr. Jason Kaufman, at jason.kaufman@mnsu.edu.
Research Presentations do not require registration, and they are offered both on-campus and remotely via Zoom. Research presentations are an opportunity for faculty and staff to share their scholarly work with the campus community. Although these are most often on recently published works, presenters sometimes prefer to share works-in-progress, and the audience is invited to share their thoughts and feedback. If you’d like to present your research through CESR, don’t hesitate to contact the CESR director by email!
CESR also offers Other Programs each semester, from writing groups for faculty or graduate students to brown bag series. If you have an idea for a CESR program, we’d love to hear about it!
