Fall 2023 Grant Cycle

The 2023 annual Fall Grant Cycle provides funding to undergraduate students with research, scholarly, or creative projects. Foundation Grants of up to $2000 and URC Grants of up to $750 are available.

Applications deadline (with faculty mentor approval): October 6th by 5:00 PM

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

NCUR is a national conference dedicated to the promotion and celebration of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities. Undergraduate students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply. NCUR 2024 will be held in Long Beach, California.

NCUR Application Portal Opens: September 15th, 2023

Abstract Submission Deadline: December 8th, 2023

NCUR 2024: April 8th-10th, 2024

2024 Undergraduate Research Symposium

The Undergraduate Research Symposium is held annually at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The event features poster and oral presentations from undergraduate students, as well as creative exhibitions and a keynote speaker. Students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to present their research, scholarly, and creative activities.

Spring 2024 URS Date: April 18th, 2024

Students from colleges and universities within the MinnState system gather at the Minnesota State Capitol to present their work and promote the importance of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities to state represenatives and legislators.
