Renewable energy (such as wind and solar energy) has been widely used during the past decade because it's more environmentally friendly. The integration of these distributed energy sources to the grid is challenge due to their intrinsic characteristics such as the intermittence. Power converters are playing an important role in applications such as battery chargers, electric vehicles and especially in smart grid. This talk will cover the research of integration of different energy sources to the next generation grid.
