The Institutional Review Board (IRB) requires all researchers provide proof of training in matters related to IRB. All researchers including student researchers are asked to complete the required training and submit the completion report to IRBNet with any applicaton and other documents that will be reviewed. IRB will return submissions without review if the CITI training documents for all researchers associated with the research are not uploaded with the submission.

CITI - (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program) developed by collaborative group of clinical researchers funded by Office of Research Integrity, Dept. of Health & Human Resources, US Gov.
- A series of online educational modules regarding the ethical and responsible conduct of research, which will take several hours to complete (can be saved and finished at intervals). Training is valid for 5 years and is free to MSU faculty, staff, and students.
- Register for an account with CITI. If you need help registering, see the link below "Register with CITI video help". Once you have registered with CITI, you will need to add the necessay course. For video assistance select, the appropriate training course video from the list below.
