Aniketh Rajaram is currently a graduate student in the M.S. in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He holds an M.Sc. in Counseling Psychology from the Madras School of Social Work, Chennai, India, where his dissertation examined psychological differences between endurance and strength/power athletes in Tamil Nadu. He also holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from the same institution.
His research interests include sport psychology, athlete mental health, psychometrics, cross-cultural psychology, and health psychology. Aniketh has clinical experience across a range of settings, including internships at Mindzone Mental Health Clinic and the Institute of Mental Health (Chennai), where he conducted assessments, contributed to case formulations, and supported therapeutic work across diverse populations. He has also co-authored a peer-reviewed behavioral study on food neophobia, psychological food involvement, and intercultural sensitivity, which was presented at a national psychology conference. Prior to his academic career, Aniketh represented India as a competitive sailor, competing for the Indian National Sailing Team from 2012 to 2017 across three classes of boats - an experience that continues to shape his understanding of athletic identity and high-performance psychology.
